I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, and started working at animal shelters while attending UW-La Crosse in 2009. I moved to Colorado in 2017 and began working at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. Over those eight and a half years and through many different departments within the shelter, I've developed a strong connection to the community here and to the people who show such dedication to the pets they love. Transitioning into emergency medicine has been a wonderful way to deepen those bonds, always keeping the health and well-being of our patients and their families at the heart of everything we do.
When I'm not working at the clinic, I really enjoy spending time hiking or paddleboarding with my pit bull mix, Jyn. I can also be found cuddling with her feline sisters, Reagan and Stevie, exploring museums, zoos, and aquariums around the country, or playing rugby with the Pikes Peaks Women's Rugby Club.
